Update: Leah Remini Reacts To Being Compared To Beyoncé’s Wax Figure: ‘This 53-Year-Old Perimenopausal Woman Will Take Any And All Comparisons’
Update (Feb. 9, 2024): Leah Remini is just fine being compared to Beyoncé. The actress reacted to fans who said Beyoncé’s new wax figure looks more like her than Beyoncé herself and wrote on Instagram Thursday,
“I am screaming! This 53-year-old perimenopausal woman will take any and all comparisons to the beautiful Beyoncé!”

Original Story (Feb. 8, 2024): Superstar songstress Beyoncé recently got a new wax figure made in her image, though internet users don’t seem convinced it’s an exact replica.
Following the debut of the statue from Madame Tussauds Blackpool Museum, social media users have been sharing their opinions that the figure looks more like singer Tinashe or actress Leah Remini.

Leah Remini, Tinashe
It seems photos of the Beyoncé-inspired sculpture began hitting the internet earlier today (Feb. 8th). While some of the 42-year-old’s fans appear to be accepting of the figure, despite various opinions that it bears a vague resemblance to the decorated artist, many more took the stance that it looks like a completely different person.

Several names of who the wax figure was actually fashioned after have been thrown out, including “Basketball Wives” alum Draya Michele and “Ru’Paul’s Drag Race” star Shangela. However, the majority of commenters seem to believe the figure takes after singer/songwriter Tinashe or “The King of Queens” star Leah Remini.

One user wrote:
“I thought this was Leah Remini before I opened the pic”

While another added:
“Baby that is Tinashe”

Many others shared similar opinions.

Whether it be Tinashe or Remini, it seems safe to say most people don’t believe the statue looks like Beyoncé at all. In fact, as a few pointed out, the issue of wax figures made in the “Renaissance” artist’s likeness appears to be of great difficulty. In the past, several other wax replicas of the 32x Grammy winner have popped up, though they often get condemned for missing the mark in the court of public opinion. Back in 2017, Madame Tussauds unveiled a different attempt at capturing Beyoncé’s person, though it was ultimately met with overwhelming disapproval.

One social media user even shared a compilation of all the disappointing Beyoncé wax figures, writing the caption:
“these wax museums need to give it up, NONE of these look like beyoncé omfg”

Maybe one day someone will come along and get it right.
