Model Chanel Iman is a Mrs.!

Chanel Iman and her now-husband, New England Patriots football player Davon Godchaux, eloped on a yacht in the Caribbean Sea on Feb. 24, she revealed.

She shared footage and images from their big day on Instagram Monday, and in one post, stated it was,

“A moment we both been waiting for.”

Sending a sweet message to the defensive tackle, Chanel Iman wrote alongside a series of behind-the-scenes images of their family taking in the moment,

“Finally I am officially Chanel Iman Godchaux ? so much to celebrate and be grateful for ?? “

She continued,

“Together we will continue to move mountains and love each other through thick and thin ?? we are forever family. I love you so much Davon ?? can’t wait for what the future holds together @chauxdown

The pair met at a Miami beach club before he popped the question during a getaway in Capri, Italy, last May.

Chanel swooned over the proposal and told Vogue,

“We had always dreamed of this moment, talking about marriage and our future together.”

She and Davon Godchaux initially married in a civil ceremony in January, before heading to the Caribbean to elope. Their service was held in Anguila, and then they set sail to St. Barths for the reception.

Chanel added of their decision,

“We couldn’t wait for football season to be over so we can complete our union. We planned the wedding the way we desired—doing something together that we love with our kids and our blended family.”

On Wednesday morning (Feb. 28), Davon Godchaux celebrated their union by showing off his blinged-out wedding band on his Instagram Story.

Chanel is mom to daughters Cassie Snow, 4, and Cali Clay, 5, whom she shares with her ex-husband Sterling Shepard. Davon Godchaux also has a son from a previous relationship. His and Chanel’s blended family grew when they welcomed their first child together, daughter Capri, in September. All three daughters served as flower girls for their wedding. Chanel noted that Godchaux’s son was unable to attend at the last minute.

She said of his absence,

“It was very heartbreaking to find out that we would have to proceed without one of our four. We look forward to celebrating our union with him all together at a later date this year [though]. This celebration will continue!”
