Kelsey Nicole is speaking her piece.

Over the weekend, rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s ex-best friend, Kelsey Nicole, opened up about their controversial falling out.

As you may know, Kelsey Nicole was at the scene on the infamous night that Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion back in 2020.

The incident ensued after the trio left a party at reality star Kylie Jenner’s home. Following the occurrence, many narratives were pushed in the media, resulting in speculation of the exact role that Kelsey may have played in the situation.

Tory Lanez was convicted of three felonies in December 2022: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, vehicle possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. Last August, he received a 10-year sentence for the crime.

Kelsey, on the other hand, was granted immunity.

During her new interview on the famed podcast ‘The Danza Project,’ Kelsey revealed that on that fateful night, she found out that Megan Thee Stallion had been “betraying” her.

“It did end up coming out that night that she had been betraying me or whatever. And, of course, it’s like, ‘D*mn, why it had to come out like this?’ Like, you should be able to come to me and say this. That way, we can laugh in these n*ggas’ faces, not these n*ggas laughing at us.”

She added:

“But, for me … I’m not fixin’ to fall out with nobody behind no guy. That’s like the last thing. You know what I’m saying? But, of course, there are principles, and of course… when you are this tight with somebody, we should never have to do that to each other.”

Additionally, Kelsey addressed her thoughts on alcohol possibly fueling the feud between Lanez and Megan, alluding that her former friend’s personality was altered under the influence.

Mentioning that she’s since given up alcohol herself, Kelsey explained,

“That night affected my drinking. and I say that because I learned that sh*t is the devil. I’m for real. There was a time when [Megan and I were] turning up. Y’all knew us as the hot girls, drive the boat–we was pushing that! You know what I’m saying? So, when it comes to a point where alcohol, you know, takes over and you become a different person, it’s time to let that sh*t go. Everybody’s lives that night… changed. So, I don’t even understand how you could still drink, have a taste for it, wanna get drunk–any of that.”
