Yvonne Orji Appears To Cast Doubt On Potential ‘Insecure’ Revival, Says ‘Maybe Miss Us A Little Bit & Then We’ll Come Back’
Yvonne Orji is responding to fans who have been wondering about the possibility of an ‘Insecure’ reboot.
During her recent appearance on the red carpet at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Honors, actress and comedienne Yvonne Orji, also famously known as “Molly,” shared with The Root that she was unaware a potential ‘Insecure’ revival was a topic of discussion.

When asked about a possible comeback of the popular series, Yvonne Orji stated,
“Did y’all ask Issa? Y’all asking the wrong person. Her name’s on the bus.”
Although she expressed some uncertainty about it, she didn’t dismiss the potential for the cast to reunite at some point in the future.
The entertainer said,
“Listen, we had an amazing run. We have an amazing relationship, the entire cast. So, I love them. If anything, I think it’d be a 25-year-reunion.”
While referencing the HBCU reunion tour the cast of ‘A Different World’ is currently on, Orji seemed to suggest that ‘Insecure’ fans may need to practice a little patience. She stated,
“You see what’s going on with A Different World, they all look fire. And they’re all back. Maybe miss us a little bit and then we’ll come back. I don’t know.”

Rumors of a new development related to the beloved show surfaced toward the end of February. The speculation was sparked by a tweet from showrunner Prentice Penny inviting fans to ask questions about the series. He wrote,
“Working on something and wondering what are questions y’all always wanted to know about #insecurehbo @insecurehbo?”

The recent circulation of clips from the series on social media has further fueled the reboot whispers. One of the now-viral moments from season two was shared by a fan to X on Friday (Mar.1) and shows Issa (portrayed by Issa Rae) and Lawrence (portrayed by Jay Ellis) arguing after he learned she cheated.
