Yvonne Orji (39), Shares She Has “A Lot Of Pent-Up Energy” While Discussing Keeping Her Virginity Until Marriage: Ya’ll Pray For Him, Whoever He Is
Actress Yvonne Orji seems to be ready to give it her all when it’s time to finally explore sex with her husband.
The “Insure” star opened up about still being a virgin during a recent interview where she asked listeners to send prayers to her future partner.

Yvonne Orji, 39, discussed the topic while speaking with comedian Chelsea Handler recently. After the host joked about Orji’s “dam” breaking one day upon learning that she’s still a virgin, the American-Nigerian responded:
“Let me tell you right now…pray for him, whoever he is; ya’ll need to pray for him because there’s a lot of pent-up energy up in here,”

Handler went on to joke that since Orji will likely be at her sexual peak when the time comes she’ll probably “need a couple of men”, Orji laughed, adding:
“Yvonne went from being a virgin to polyamory.”
Taking a look at the TV star’s love life from a public perspective, it’s no telling when Orji will get to share that intimate moment after saying I do. She’s been mostly quiet about her dating life since breaking off her last public relationship with her ex Emmanuel Acho back in 2019. If you recall, the pair sparked dating rumors back in May the year before and took their romance public about a month later. Coming up on nearly a year of dating, however, Orji shared on her podcast that the two had officially gone their separate ways.

Since her split from Acho, Orji hasn’t seemed to have gone public with any other subsequent relationships. Judging by her dedication to saving herself for marriage, however, it would appear the actress takes the vow she made quite seriously. Orji has spoken about being a virgin several times throughout her career, sharing that she made a pact with God prior to her success as a TV and film star. In a previous interview she stated:
“Before any of [the fame] happened, I sat down with myself and with God and thought, When I make it, how do you want me to represent you while I’m here…It was like, Okay, I know why I’m here. It’s to make you proud.”
Despite her lack of real experience, Orji has been able to convincingly portray sex scenes, which she was required to do several time while filming for “Insecure”. Back in 2021, the actress shared that the show’s costume designer had to coach her on what to do in order to make the intimate moments come across believable on camera. Looking at the popularity of the series it’s likely safe to say she got the job done.
