Update (April 10, 2024): Aoki Lee Simmons appears to be emotional after her relationship with a man 40 years her senior.

She shared a cryptic message on her Instagram Story on Tuesday (April 9), just days after their breakup. Aoki Lee Simmons posted a photo of her sitting in the middle of garbage bags and wrote,

“I’m depresso espresso but I did indeed have to share I FOUND WHERE ALL MY PACKAGES [HAVE] BEEN GOING TOO?”

Last week, 21-year-old Aoki Lee Simmons set the internet on fire when images of her kissing 65-year-old restaurateur Vittorio Assaf surfaced online. Many people were concerned with the noticeably large age gap between the couple, with some even taking to the social accounts of Aoki Lee’s parents – Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons – to express their disappointment in the matter. After the images went viral, Aoki Lee reportedly referred to the man as her “boyfriend” multiple times during a few Instagram Live videos.

However, it seems the public has nothing to fear as the brewing romance has already fizzled out.

An insider close to the Harvard graduate shared with Page Six,

“It’s 100% done. They’re absolutely not dating.”

Another source described Vittorio Assaf to the outlet as an “older man with little boy charm.”

They continued,

“He always loved younger beautiful women. He’s gotten older, but his taste hasn’t changed.”

And added,

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out with another young girl tonight!

Aoki Lee has yet to speak on the alleged breakup.

Late last week images hit the internet of 21-year-old model Aoki Lee Simmons on a beach in St. Barts passionately kissing restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 65. As expected, the internet had a lot to say about the 44-year age difference between the love birds. Many also criticized Aoki Lee’s parents – Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons – for seemingly not intervening in her questionable dating life. Appearing to address the backlash, Kimora Lee, 48, posted a video of a panda bear relocating her cub by mouth. She wrote on the post,

“On my last nerve right now!”

Her ex-husband Russell Simmons, 66, posted a throwback image with the Harvard graduate to his Instagram. He captioned the image,

“Throw back from last fathers day nyc …bode bikram yoga express class .. vegan lunch cryotherapy vitamin drip … all around amazing day [red heart emoji] @aokileesimmons love you always”

It didn’t take long for the comment section to flood with people urging the record executive to call his daughter instead of alluding to the matter online. Responding to one IG user, Russell Simmons said,

“what makes u think i dont ? of course i call both of my daughters daily”

During a recent chat with TMZ, Russell also revealed that his daughter filled him in on who she’s currently dating roughly a day before the relationship made headlines. He continued,

“I’m not gonna kick and scream about her choices.”

And added,

“All I can do is offer my advice and unconditional love.”

No word yet on how Vittorio Assaf and Aoki Lee first met, but reports claim the relationship is fairly new.
