Original Story: (Apr. 22, 2024): Kid Cudi has spoken out following his unfortunate tumble, which ended in a broken foot, at this year’s Coachella.

If you didn’t know, on Sunday (Apr. 21), a video of Kid Cudi rolling off the stage during his set at the celebrated event went viral on social media.

The seconds-long clip showed Kid Cudi approaching the edge of the festival’s Sahara Tent as he prepared to jump into the crowd and interact with fans.

But… upon his leap, the ‘INSANO’ artist seemingly twisted his ankle when hitting the ground, which resulted in two of the venue’s security guards rushing to his aid.

However, even though Cudi may have had what he now describes as a “major setback,” he’s still aiming to embark on his ‘INSANO: ENGAGE THE RAGE WORLD TOUR’ this summer.

The 43-date road run is scheduled to kick off in Austin, Texas on June 28, with rappers Pusha T, Jaden Smith, and EARTHGANG to accompany.

In a recent post to the platform (formerly known as Twitter), he told his supporters in a nearly two-minute recording,

“Sh*t got real yesterday. This is what happens when a 40-year-old man tries to prance around off-stage like he’s 26… like he used to do back in the day. [laughs] I learned a valuable lesson! No more prancing around… jumping off stages.”

Cudi furthered:

“I’m hoping that I’ll be healed up in time for tour. That’s the plan. I don’t wanna let you guys down. So, yeah…that’s what we’re aiming for. So, not canceling anything just yet. [I’m] just gonna wait and see how things go.”

He then gave the public an update on his current well-being after the fall,

“I’m okay. [I’m] a little sore. Yesterday, [I] was in a little pain. But… I’m doing better now.”

Cudi concluded:

“Apparently, I broke something in my heel. This is a major setback. Yeah… but don’t worry, I’ma bounce back.”

The Ohio native’s announcement comes after he originally shared the news about his injury on his X account. He wrote,

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. [I’m] just leavin the hospital. Never broken a bone before so this is all a bit crazy.”

Cudi continued by appreciating his die-hards’ efforts in keeping the concert going, even after he was shipped off to receive medical assistance.

He added before ending it off with a teary-eyed emoji:

“I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man. I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

According to reports, before his wound, the 40-year-old debuted two new songs, “MOON MAN SH*T” and “BLUE SKY,” throughout his 45-minute live segment, which were from his latest project, ‘INSANO.’

This was his first appearance at Coachella since 2019.
