Congratulations are in order for DJ Mustard and Brittany Stroud! They joyfully announced on Mother’s Day via Instagram that they are expecting their first child.

Brittany Stroud shared the news via her Instagram Story and wrote,

“Over the moon to be celebrating my first Mother’s Day. 2 months or less until I’m pushing and meet my sweet baby.”

In a separate Instagram Story, Brittany shared what appears to be a screenshot of text messages between her and DJ Mustard, where she expressed gratitude to the producer for making her a mother.

She remarked,

“Thank you for making me a mom!! I love you.”

DJ Mustard replied,

“Thank you for letting me make you a mom, I love you more.”

The joyous news follows DJ Mustard’s filing for sole legal custody of the 11-year-old son he shares with his estranged wife, Chanel Thierry. The exes had an apparent disagreement over the child’s education.

Mustard married Chanel Thierry in 2020, and they welcomed three children. However, Mustard shocked many when he filed for divorce in 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Since then, legal proceedings have been ongoing, involving matters such as asset division, child custody, and other related issues.

Amid the contentious divorce battle, Chanel Thierry publicly criticized her estranged husband and Brittany on social media last year. She revealed that Mustard left her after 11 years and moved his new girlfriend into the custom home they had built together just a year later. She wrote at the time,

“Imagine a man leaving you after 11 years, less then a year later moving his gf into the home y’all custom built for your family, playing house with your kids then turning around and trying to paint a picture like you are a unfit parent to get custody. I’m truly flabbergasted.”
