Simon Guobadia Addresses Ex Porsha Williams Shading Him Over Lack Of US Citizenship, Says His ‘Only Limitations’ Are Not Being Able To Vote Or Rely On Government Benefits

Unlike other Bravo couples, “RHOA” star Porsha Williams and Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia seem to be done for real!

Earlier today (May 20), we reported that Simon Guobadia left a shady comment alluding he took back the Rolls Royce he gifted his soon-to-be-ex-wife after things went south between them. Replying to a video of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” new full-time castmember Shamea Mwangi’s husband blessing her with her own Rolls Royce, Simon Guobadia, 59, wrote,

“Congratulations my good sis @shameamorton . I’m so happy for you. My brother Gerald has excellent taste in fine automobile. Look forward to watching the only cast member with a RR.”

Porsha Williams, 42, wasted no time showing that just like her ex, she can be petty too. Responding to what Guobadia claimed, the Atlanta native fired back in TheNeighborhoodTalk’s comment section with,

“Simon Don’t forget and a debt free Husband who is a US citizens!! My bestie is winning Welcome to rhoa Queen Mumbi!”

As previously reported, In February, days before Porsha Williams filed for divorce, reports surfaced that Simon Guobadia was denied US citizenship (once again) due to his criminal past, which allegedly involves several felonies for fraud, identity theft, and more.

Guobadia must have seen what Williams said as he’s taken to his IG page with more remarks. Speaking on the chatter surrounding his past and citizenship, Guobadia shared a text post that said,

“The Benefits to American citizenship are:

1. The right to vote in federal elections and have a say in the democratic process.

2. The ability to travel freely with a U.S. passport.

3. Access to government benefits and programs, such as Social Security and Medicare.

4. Eligibility for certain jobs that require U.S. citizenship, such as government positions reserved for US citizens

In my case as a Green Card Holder, the only limitations I have is the privilege of voting in US elections and relying on government benefits. Neither one hinders my presence in the United States. I have dedicated my life to striving for financial independence and providing for my family and community.”

He captioned the message,

“I realize there is much misinformation surrounding my impending divorce, and the recurring one is about the benefits of US Citizenship vs US Permanent Residency, which I have been one for 34 years. Hopefully, the above brings some educational clarity to the masses”

At this time, it doesn’t look like Williams has added more to their ongoing internet feud. However, she did share a post to her Stories that said,

“It is okay to change your mind about how you want to live your life.”
