Reality TV star Kim Kardashian made headlines once again, this time by wearing an iconic piece of music history to a recent Janet Jackson concert.

The 43-year-old billionaire donned the exact costume that Janet Jackson wore in her 1993 “If”  music video, turning heads at Janet Jackson’s Together Again tour stop in Thousand Palms, California.

Attending the concert with her sister Khloé Kardashian, mom Kris Jenner, and friends, Kim Kardashian showcased a suede crop top with intricate bone detailing and matching lace-up pants on her Instagram story before the show.

In her social media post, Kim Kardashian can be heard saying,

“Can you guys tell where I’m going tonight …I bet you will never guess.”

Kim confirmed the outfit’s authenticity by sharing social media exchange with Janet Jackson, that read,

“For @janetjackson’s birthday because I’m such a fan I can’t believe I won this outfit.”

Jackson, now 58, replied,

“Thank you so much @kimkardashian. I hope ‘IF’ gives you as much pleasure as it did me.”

Kardashian is renowned for acquiring iconic pieces of celebrity history. In 2017, she acquired Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ Cartier watch for $379,500. Additionally, Kim has previously donned notable outfits, such as Marilyn Monroe’s Bob Mackie dress. This dress was famously worn during Marilyn Monroe’s rendition of Happy Birthday to then-President John F. Kennedy in 1962, which Kim wore at the 2022 Met Gala.
