Boxer Ryan Garcia’s Alleged ‘Erratic Behavior’ Caused Disturbance At Hotel Bar Shortly After Police Were Called To Conduct A Welfare Check
Prayers up for boxer Ryan Garcia.
Reports state that the 25-year-old allegedly had to be confronted at his hotel bar recently, hours after family members sent authorities to check on his well-being.

Reportedly, the situation went down at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills yesterday (Wednesday, June 5th). Police confirmed that they were called to the location to conduct a welfare check on Ryan Garcia at the request of an unnamed family member. Authorities say they spoke with the athlete and determined he was not a threat to himself or others and ultimately let him go on his way.

Later that evening, however, sources claim that Ryan Garcia was cut off from drinking at that same hotel bar due to his “erratic behavior.” No other details about the alleged bar incident have been shared at this time. It’s unclear what prompted the family member to seek help for Garcia in the first place. As we’ve been covering, fans have been showing concern for the athlete’s mental health since March when he opened up about “going through a lot.” Since then, he faced scrutiny after it was confirmed he tested positive for an illegal substance ahead of his fight with fellow boxer Devin Haney.

Additionally, Garcia also recently shared that his mom is battling breast cancer, making his apparent emotional struggle even more understandable. The boxing star also posted a cryptic tweet yesterday that read:
“Hanging on a thread but the thread is broken”

It does not appear that Garcia has spoken publicly about the welfare check.
