Saweetie Speaks Out After Fight & Stampede Occurr During Chicago Concert
Rapper Saweetie, 30, recently addressed the chaos that erupted during her performance at the Vegandale Festival on June 23.
After the event, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her concerns for the attendees:
“I hope everyone got home safe tonight. That crowd looked crazy.”

However, when an X user accused her of insincerity, she swiftly responded,
“The crowd did look crazy, which is why I hope everyone got home safe. Also, I could’ve went home after the fight broke out, but I stayed and waited. After 2 Chainz performed, I went back on stage to finish my set, because I care… you clearly don’t like me, so why you stay for the rest of my set when the festival was clearly over?”

Saweetie’s performance at Grant Park, Butler Field, was abruptly interrupted when she spotted a disturbance in the crowd. Addressing the audience, she said,
“I know y’all not doing what I think y’all doing. Is everybody safe?”
However, many concertgoers seemingly took her words to mean something else as countless people in the crowd took off running following her remark.

Despite the interruption, Saweetie returned to the stage to complete her set. Her next festival appearance is scheduled for July 13 at Angie’s Summer BBQ.
