Paris Hilton Recalls Being Sexually Assaulted By Hospital Staff & ‘Force-fed Medications’ As She Testifies Before Congress About The Child Welfare System
Hotel heiress Paris Hilton recently opened up about the abuse she suffered as a child.
The 43-year-old was advocating for legislature created to modernize the children’s welfare system in America and shared her own traumatic experience of being placed in mental health facilities as a teen.

Paris Hilton explained during the court appearance, which took place earlier today (Wednesday, June 26th), that she was forced into mental clinics beginning at the age of 16 due to her rebellious behavior. She alleged that multiple institutions that promised aid to her parents were actually a gateway for staff to carry out sexual and medical abuse against their young patients. Speaking about her own experience, Paris Hilton stated during the hearing:
“When I was 16 years old, I was ripped from my bed in the middle of night and transported across state lines to the first of four residential facilities…For two years, I was force-fed medications and sexually abused by the staff. I was violently restrained … stripped naked, thrown in solitary confinement,”
Continuing, the former reality star claimed that her parents, Hilton & Hyland co-founder Rick Hilton and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kathy Hilton, were “completely deceived, lied to and manipulated by this for-profit industry about the inhumane treatment I was experiencing.”
She added:
“So, can you only imagine the experience for youth who were placed by the state and don’t have people regularly checking in on them?”
The socialite went on to further emphasize her belief that corporations have for too long been profiting off of the “trouble teen industry” without true care for the children involved.
She continued:
“This $23 billion-a-year industry sees this population as dollar signs and operates without meaningful oversight…What is more important? Protecting business profits or protecting foster youth lives?”

Paris Hilton
This isn’t the first time Hilton has appeared before legislatures in hopes of progressing the rights and protection of children in the welfare system. In 2022, the celeb went to Capitol Hill to lobby lawmakers seeking to have the Institutional Child Abuse Act passed. The bill was designed to strengthen oversight of residential youth programs, support the re-authorization of Title IV-B of the Social Security Act, and advocate for a “Bill of Rights” for children in youth facilities.
Hilton first opened up about her history of abuse to the public via her 2020 YouTube documentary The Is Paris. The mom of two continues to be one of Hollywood’s most vocal advocates for the betterment of children’s rights.
