Comedian Amber Ruffin Comes Out On Final Day Of Pride Month: ‘Be Proud Of Who You Are’
On the final day of Pride Month, comedian and former late-night TV host Amber Ruffin publicly came out as part of the LGBTQ+ community.
In an Instagram post, Amber Ruffin, 45, shared a photo of herself wearing a tank top with the word “Queer” printed on it.
The post was accompanied by a caption that read,
“In what will come as a shock to exactly zero people, I’m using the last day of PRIDE to come out!”
She continued,
“Be proud of who you are, little babies! I know I am! And I can’t wait to be discriminated against for a new reason!!”

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support from celebrities and colleagues, several of which are also a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Actress Lena Waithe commented,
“You are loved and seen and appreciated!!”

Comedian Wanda Sykes wrote,
“Happy Pride!”
