Jamie Foxx Addresses Mysterious 2023 Health Scare, Says He Can’t Remember Anything After Asking Friend For An Advil

We’re getting a little more information on why Jamie Foxx was hospitalized last year.

Video footage has recently surfaced of the Django Unchained star talking about the incident with bystanders. According to the reported original poster of the video, the recording took place in downtown Phoenix over the weekend.

Addressing what seemingly caused the unspecified medical emergency, Jamie Foxx shares in the short clip,

“Look, April 11th last year, bad headache. Asked my boy for an Advil [snaps fingers], I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.”

He continues,

“I’m in Atlanta, they told me — my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor, [shakes head], they gave me a cortisone shot. The next doctor said, ‘There’s something going on up there [points to head].'”

Jamie Foxx’s brief explanation ends there as he shares in the footage that he will not say what else he was told “on camera.”

As previously reported, In April 2023, Jamie’s daughter Corinne Foxx announced he was in the hospital for a private “medical complication.” At the time, she wrote,

“From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”

He was reportedly moved to a rehab facility in Chicago that specializes in strokes and brain injuries. Jamie was spotted in public again for the first time in December 2023 and picked up his paused projects at the top of this year. Despite the several rumors that surfaced as to why Jamie was hospitalized, the celeb hasn’t said much about the situation. However, in March, while accepting the Producers Award at the African American Films Critics Association Awards, he said he would eventually share what happened “in a funny way.”
