The 16-year-old has made history as the youngest male U.S. track and field Olympian after he was selected for the U.S. 4×400 meter relay team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Following trials, his coach Joe Lee confirmed with outlets that Quincy Wilson made the team, revealing he “received a call from the U.S. Olympic coaching staff sharing the news.” Speaking on the exciting opportunity, Quincy Wilson wrote via his IG,
“I’M AN OLYMPIAN “

He added,
“WE GOING TO THE OLYMPICS”

According to reports, Quincy Wilson broke the under-18 world record in the opening round of the 400, completing one lap in 44.66 seconds. He bested the time in the semifinals, with 44.59 to qualify for the finals. He earned his place in the relay pool by finishing sixth in the 400-meter final, running a 44.94.
Wilson is a rising high school junior at the Bullis School in Potomac, Md., born on January 8, 2008.
