Yung Joc Apologizes To Megan Thee Stallion For Betting Tory Lanez Wouldn’t Be Convicted In Shooting Case

Rapper-turned-radio host Yung Joc is the latest celeb to apologize to Megan Thee Stallion.

The 43-year-old showed remorse recently for making a public bet that prisoned rapper Tory Lanez wouldn’t be placed behind bars for shooting the “BOA” artist.

Yung Joc was on his Atlanta radio show Yung Joc & the Streetz Morning Takeover when he shared his regret about the situation. After his co-host mentioned Shannon Sharpe, 56, offering his own apology to Megan Thee Stallion, 29, while she visited his podcast Club Shay Shay recently over lewd remarks he made about her, Yung Joc claimed to be inspired by the gesture and wanted to follow suit. He stated:

“Since Shannon Sharpe made his apology to Meg Thee Stallion, I’ma make my apology to Meg Thee Stallion, too. I apologize for not supporting you in your moment and believing in the whole situation with you and Tory Lanez,”

He continued:

“I still have questions, ’cause I’m human. I think that the moment when I made the bet–although we did it in a fun kinda way–maybe, just maybe, I was out of line for doing that.”

Yung Joc went on to directly address the bet he made that he’d shave his head if Tory Lanez was found guilty. As you may recall, the “It’s Goin Down” rapper claimed in an interview ahead of the trial, that the Canadian musician would not be convicted of the 2020 shooting incident.

Following Lanez guilty verdict, however, Joc made good on his loss and shaved his hair off. Speaking on the matter, he continued during the radio segment:

“I lost the bet, and somewhere in there, we may have been a little buffoonish. ‘Cause I really made a bet that this man was gon’ get off, and he didn’t. And I lost my hair. I’m sorry, Meg.”

At this time it’s unclear whether or not Megan has accepted Joc’s apology, though she did show grace for Sharpe when he offered his own. Media titan 50 Cent is another hip-hop veteran who has also retracted his public statement about the shooting. As we previously covered, the “Candy Shop” rapper was one of the first to publicly acknowledge his mistake and apologized publicly to Megan shortly after the verdict was given.
