Billy Ray Cyrus Eager To Rebuild Relationship w/ Miley Cyrus Following Split From Wife, Insider Claims Daughter Was ‘Not A Fan’ Of Firerose

Reconciliation might be in the near future for some members of the Cyrus family.

As previously reported, last month Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from his wife Firerose, real name Johanna Rose Hodges, 37, after just 7 months of marriage. The 62-year-old entertainer cited irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct” as a cause of the breakup. Firerose, however, later claimed that the “Achy Breaky Heart” artist was abusive throughout their relationship and she felt “unsafe” living with him. Whatever the true reason for the split, it’s safe to say the former love birds are done.

According to reports, Billy Ray Cyrus’ next move is to rebuild his damaged relationship with his daughter, Miley Cyrus, 31. An Insider claimed the former Disney star “was not a fan of Firerose from the get-go when Billy started dating her four years ago.”

They continued, claiming Billy Ray Cyrus’ marriage to the Australian singer is why he ultimately became estranged from Miley Cyrus.

“She told her dad Firerose was an opportunist who was taking him for a ride, and Billy got so angry he and Miley stopped talking to each other.”

The source added,

“But now he wants Firerose out of his life and Miley back in, and he’s even willing to put up with all her ‘I told-you-so’s!'”

The source also shared that Miley Cyrus is open to reconnecting with her dad, claiming,

“Miley fully believes their estrangement is on her father, not her. But with Firerose out of the picture, she’s willing to at least try to repair the damage and once again have a loving relationship with him.”
