Kai Cenat Says He Was Nearly Banned From Twitch After Setting Off Live Fireworks In A Replica Of His Room
Streaming star Kai Cenat almost lost his membership as a Twitch content creator.
The internet personality recently revealed that his account on the platform was nearly banned following a skit where he set off fireworks in a replica of his room.

As we previously reported, Kai Cenat captured the internet’s attention this past Wednesday (July 3rd) after it appeared that his fellow YouTuber AMP Davis set off unwarranted fireworks in his room. In case you’re unfamiliar, the bedroom is a staple part of Kai Cenat’s popular livestream that typically garners hundreds of thousands to millions of viewers.
In the moment, social media users speculated whether or not the ordeal was a skit, which the 22-year-old confirmed to be true in a subsequent video. Cenat also revealed that Twitch contacted him about the stunt, threatening to remove the video and his account for appearing to put lives in danger. One report notes that Cenat may have violated the platform’s regulation against “self destructive behavior,” which reads:
“We also prohibit activity that may endanger your life, lead to your physical harm, or encourage others to engage in physically harmful behavior. We do not make exceptions for self-destructive behavior performed as a stunt or gag made in jest, or meant to entertain when the behavior could reasonably be expected to cause physical injury to anyone on our service.”

Cenat went on the video to explain how he immediately contacted his reps at Twitch after getting the warning, stating:
“They told us ASAP, we can get banned for blowing it up. We didn’t know this whole time,”
He continued,
“That’s why the VOD went down. If anyone went to check the VOD, the VOD disappeared. I was on the verge of getting banned. I had to hurry up and tell my rep–the people that represent me on Twitch–I had to show them everything, I had to show them the whole set.”
It appears the Cenat’s account remains fully active at this time.
