Nicki Minaj Fans Demand Refunds After ‘Disgraceful’ Dublin Concert

Fans of Nicki Minaj are demanding refunds after a disastrous concert in Dublin.

The 41-year-old rapper, who was scheduled to perform at Malahide Castle on July 6 at 8 p.m., did not appear until just before 10 p.m., leaving 20,000 fans waiting in the rain. Her set reportedly lasted less than an hour, including 10-15 minutes for multiple costume changes.

Fans took to social media to express their frustration and demand refunds.

One X user fumed,

“Wondering if there will be a refund for the Nicki Minaj concert in Malahide last night as she came on two hours late and played a 30 minute set. Paid €300+ for tickets, simply not acceptable.”

Another X user added,

“Hands down Nicki Minaj in Dublin was the worst concert I’ve been to which is so sad to say.”

Despite the backlash, Nicki Minaj has not addressed the criticism on her social media. Instead, she posted several videos and pictures of the performance on Instagram and X, which only fueled more anger from fans.

One fan said,

“You were a disgrace in Dublin . Nearly 2 hours late. Lip synced for 45 mins and started arguing with tour DJ. And no acknowledgement to the fans who stood in torrential rain waiting. The only reason more didn’t leave was because transport out was not there. A waste of a stage.”

Another commented,

“You are a disgrace the way you treat your fans – over one and a half hours late and play for less than an hour. Do not come back to Ireland.”

Following the Dublin show, Nicki Minaj pulled out of her festival appearance in Romania on Sunday over safety concerns.

She posted on X:

“Out of concern for the well-being of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security detail not to travel to Romania’s festival tonight due to safety concerns regarding protests in the area. I look forward to seeing you all at another time.”

This incident is the latest in a series of unfortunate events for Minaj. In May, she missed a show at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena after being detained at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam on suspicion of drug offenses.
