Cardi B Tells Joe Budden ‘I Got Nothing But Love For You’ After Slamming Him For Speaking Negatively About Her
Update (July 22, 2024): Cardi B accepts Joe Budden’s apology, but wants him to think about the tone he uses when speaking about her.
In a heartfelt message on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (July 21), Cardi B reacted to Joe Budden apologizing after she called him out for remarks he’s made about her.
She wrote,
I” got love for you to Joe but you been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years whether music or personal..like when I was goin through real sh*t wit my marriage in December you went on ya platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on.. I know criticism comes wit the territory but sometimes the narrative yall decide go run with be soooooo toxic. It’s all love tho see you soon.”
Original story (July 18, 2024): Cardi B is seemingly fed up with Joe Budden.
Belcalis Cephus, famously known as Cardi B, took to X Spaces (formally Twitter Spaces) on Thursday (July 18) and candidly unleashed her issues with rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden. Cardi B appeared to be responding to criticism Joe Budden has shared about her career and highly-anticipated sophomore studio album. Addressing the live audio discussion, Budden, who tuned in for the verbal beatdown, shared on X,
“I promise you and can assure you, i will not cover a single thing this girl does for the remainder of her career… Peace & love.”

Amid his string of follow-up posts, he took a moment to deny some of the things Cardi said, claiming he’s never received a lap dance from the rapper and has “never done c*ke.”

Budden also apologized to Cardi for “whatever” he did to set her off, and said,
“I really just wanted an album from someone whose music i love”

Budden’s posts came in response to Cardi putting him on blast for harsh things he’s said about her over the years. Airing out her grievances, she frustratingly said,
“I could drop a song, I could argue with Offset, I could do whatever the f*ck, Joe Budden will be talking about me, and he never has nothing good to say about me. Never, never, never!”

She continued,
“And why is that? Because you have new besties now?… You have to diss me ’cause you have a bestie? Lame. Lame n*gg* sh*t! …Like I wasn’t giving you f*cking lap dances, n*gg*, shut the f*ck up! Joe Budden is the only one that act like he got information from Atlantic [Records] and you don’t. …And I hate a b*tch *ss n*gg* too ’cause my thing is if you cool with somebody, why do you feel like you got to attack me to be cool with them?

Elsewhere during the audio stream, she said,
“Joe Budden is obsessed [with] criticizing me up and down. Sh*t is really getting me frustrated because it’s like, bro, leave me the f*ck alone…I don’t understand this about Joe Budden, right? First, you always talking about you got a source from Atlantic [Records] that be telling you about my album, and that’s a f*cking lie. First things first, you said that if Atlantic don’t drop my album, they going to f*cking drop it for me.”
And continued,
“They can’t do that…I do not send my music to nobody. There’s only two people that have possessions of my music, and that’s me and my engineer. Nobody that personally work with me. I have a manager… He don’t have none of my music.”

Cardi B
Cardi isn’t the only celeb to call out the media personality for his commentary. In April, Ari Lennox took to her Instagram Story and warned him not to speak on her anymore. She wrote,
“Keep my precious name out of your psychotic, animal abusing, women terrorizing, demonic trolling, nicotine encased mouth. All this meth smoke for a woman but not for any man beating your *ss in real life. Bald b*tch!”
