She took to her Instagram Stories earlier today (Tuesday, July 30) to address the U.K. fatal stabbing as a third child was confirmed to have died.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is washing over me continuously, and I’m just completely in shock…The loss of life and innocence, and the horrendous trauma inflicted on everyone who was there, the families, and first respodners.”

She continued,

“These were just little kids at a dance class. I am at a complete loss for how to ever convey my sympathies to these families.”

Her message comes as a third child, a 9-year-old girl, was pronounced dead in a local hospital.

A Taylor Swift-themed dance workshop tragically ended after a mass stabbing took place in the United Kingdom.

According to reports, the incident occurred earlier today (July 29) at a property located in Southport, England. Merseyside Police were able to track down and arrest a 17-year-old male in connection to the brutal attack. The stabbing took place at a Taylor Swift kids’ dance and yoga workshop, which was attended by at least 25 young girls between the ages of 6 and 11.

At the time of this report, two children have died and nine other individuals were injured, including six who are in critical condition.

Authorities said in a statement that the suspect “remains in police custody and will be questioned about the incident.”

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the shocking news on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote,

“Horrendous and deeply shocking news emerging from Southport. My thoughts are with all those affected.
