Britney Spears’ Biopic Is Officially In The Works

A Britney Spears movie is on the way! Nearly a year after the pop star, 42, released her bombshell memoir, reports that a biopic on her life is said to be in the works. According to Variety, Universal Pictures secured the rights to the movie. Jon M. Chu of Wicked is set to direct and Marc Platt is reportedly coming on board as a producer. Britney Spears also hinted at a movie coming up via X yesterday (Thursday, Aug. 1). She wrote,

“Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned ??”
