The Lox Celebrated By Fans After Performing Hit Singles During NPR Tiny Desk Concert: ‘I’m Literally About To Cry’
Fans of veteran hip-hop group The Lox were recently treated to a Tiny Desk performance.
The rap trio, made up of Jadakiss, Sheek Louch and Styles P, took the NPR concert stage playing some of their biggest hits.

The Lox
In a video shared earlier today (Friday, August 2nd), The Lox appeared to be in perfect synergy as they took listeners on a journey through some of their classic records. The former Bad Boys group performed songs created under their group moniker, as well as singles they released during their solo careers. The show kicked off with an instrumental of the group’s 2000 single “All for the Love”, followed by “Recognize” (2000) and Sheek Louch’s “Good Love” (2008).
They went on to play Style P’s “Good Times”, Jadakiss‘ “By Your Side”, as well as ‘Kiss Your A** Goodbye,” “Money, Power & Respect”, and “We Gonna Make It”. In case you’re unfamiliar, The Lox (or The L.O.X.) is widely recognized as a powerhouse hip-hop group. Formed in Yonkers, New York in 1994, the trio began recording and releasing music and gained mainstream traction after signing to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Bad Boy Records in 1996.

The Lox, Diddy
After receiving national exposure being featured on Diddy’s 1997 collaborative track “It’s All About the Benjamins”, The Lox kept up momentum with a multi-platinum tribute to The Notorious B.I.G on “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa”. The group went on to sign with Ruff Ryders in 1999 before eventually forming their own label D-Block. Their debut album Money, Power & Respect, went on to become certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Reacting to the NPR performance, social media users were overwhelmingly elated by the show. Many praised the group for their nostalgic set and shared the warm feelings they got watching the performance.
One wrote,
“Feels like a negro spiritual. Great way to start my Friday”

Another added in part,
“I’m literally about to cry typing this…”

One expressed similar feelings and wrote,
“This brought tears to my eyes”
