T.I. Arrested In Mistaken Identity Case At Atlanta Airport
Will the real Clifford Harris please stand up?
Rapper T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., had his travel plans interrupted over the weekend due to a case of mistaken identity. According to a report from TMZ, on Sunday (Aug. 4) the “Whatever You Like” artist was arrested at the Atlanta airport over an outstanding warrant. However, it seems that authorities placed the wrong Clifford Harris in handcuffs.

The wanted man was actually someone of the same name who got in trouble in Baltimore, Maryland. Authorities are after the real suspect due to his alleged violent behavior toward a woman, stalking, and possible dealings with a gun. It’s said that the wanted Clifford Harris weighs around 205 pounds, while T.I. reportedly weighs 165 pounds.
Despite the physical difference between the men, T.I. was still taken to the Clayton County Jail and faced an automatic extradition hearing because the warrant was issued out of state.
Thankfully, the rapper’s lawyer was able to shut all that down, getting T.I. released within two hours of his booking. The judge also dismissed the extradition order.
