Kylie Jenner Denies Ozempic Use, Opens Up About Experiencing Postpartum Depression After Births Of Her 2 Children
Kylie Jenner is setting the record straight on Ozempic rumors and postpartum struggles.
In the latest issue of British Vogue, Kylie Jenner, 27, denies claims that she used the weight-loss medication Ozempic to shed pounds after the births of her children.
Addressing the persistent speculation, Kylie Jenner stated,
“I see pictures [online] and people are accusing me of being on drugs or something.”
When asked whether she was referring to Ozempic or similar weight-loss drugs, Kylie responded,
“Yeah … I’m back at my weight I was before I had my daughter and son and people are putting side by sides of me three months postpartum. I’m like: ‘Does everyone forget that I had two children and I gained 60 pounds both pregnancies?’”
The reality TV star also reflected on her journey through postpartum depression, revealing that she faced significant struggles after both of her children’s births, with her second child, Aire Webster, being born in early 2022.
“Stormi’s lasted a year. Aire’s around the same length of time. I’m going to be 27, and I’m finally feeling like myself again.”
Kylie, who shares both children with her ex Travis Scott, described the intense challenges of postpartum, noting,
“I think, being pregnant, I wore sweatpants every day, I didn’t have time to figure out even some of the little things in my life, and then postpartum lasted a year. Mentally, it’s really hard. Hormonally, it’s really hard.”
The period following the birth of her second child was highly emotional for Kylie, even affecting the process of naming Aire Webster.
She stated,
“It hit me differently both times. Probably with my son it was major baby blues, so I was just so emotional over things that I probably wouldn’t be that emotional about [typically]. On the phone with my mom all day hysterically crying, saying, ‘I can’t figure out his name.’ My son’s name was actually Knight for a long time… And my daughter, still to this day, is like, ‘Do you remember when Aire’s name was Knight?’”
Additionally, the influencer and businesswoman opened up about tuning out the noise and focusing on her little ones at home.
Reflecting on her life with her children, Kylie says,
“No matter what I’m going through or what I look like or what the internet writes about me that day… I come home and my kids just love me unconditionally. I’m like, ‘OK, well I have these little humans at home that need me and love me and think I’m the most perfect person in the world, so I don’t really need validation from outside sources.’”
Fans can catch a glimpse of Kylie’s life raising her two children on the Hulu reality series The Kardashians, which recently concluded its fifth season and has been renewed for a sixth.
