Ice Spice’s Hairstylist Defends Her After She’s Accused By Alleged Backup Stylist Of Making Colorist Remarks
Members of Ice Spice’s team are disputing new allegations made against her.
The rapper’s stylist and photographer recently shot down claims made by a man who said he heard Ice Spice make colorist remarks while working for her on tour.
The situation unfolded in the comments section of a post by TheNeighborhoodTalk discussing the colorist accusations a TikTok’er named Zdot made against Ice Spice, real name Isis Gaston, 24. In what appears to be a since-deleted video series, the man claimed he was hired to be a backup stylist for Ice Spice and heard firsthand her describe fellow rapper Cleotrapa as a “black a**,” among other things.
In response, Spice’s hairstylist Timothy Luke Garcia claimed the individual was simply looking for a moment of attention, writing:
“jumping on opportunity for clout … HAIRSTYLIST HERE HERE. THIS MAN WAS NOT THERE. let the people who was there tell the story ..”
Her photographer, who goes by the Instagram handle @starthestar, also chimed in, claiming that the man in the video was never even on tour with them to begin with. He wrote in one comment:
“he was never there with us EVER TF”
After another commenter remarked that he hoped this doesn’t impact the alleged backup stylist’s career, the photographer added:
“he ain’t never gon get no blessings he’s dead lying”
It does not appear that Ice herself nor her management has responded to Zdot’s claims. As we’ve previously covered, this all began after Cleotrapa made her own video series calling out Ice for allegedly being a bad friend and not supporting her after inviting the “Rockstar” rapper to join her U.S. Y2K! tour.
