Mathew Knowles Hints That Race Played A Part In Beyonce Being Snubbed by Country Music Awards
Mathew Knowles believes Beyoncé’s CMA snub could be racially motivated.
“There’s more white people in America, and unfortunately, they don’t vote based on ability and achievements; it’s still sometimes a white and black thing,” he told TMZ.
As previously reported, Beyoncé got a major snub by the Country Music Association Awards (CMAs) and received zero nominations for a CMA Award, despite the success of her acclaimed Cowboy Carter album.
The nominations were announced on Monday (Sept. 9), and it was quickly noticed that Beyoncé didn’t get any nominations at all.
Shaboozey was nominated for the first time for single of the year “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and new artist of the year.
Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen and Post Malone garnered multiple nods.
Is Matthew making good points?
