Diddy Allegedly Tried To Get Dirty Money’s Kalenna Harper To Silence Dawn Richard, Called Kalenna 58 Times In 4 Days
It seems that Kalenna Harper’s statement was allegedly a last-ditch effort for Diddy to save himself.
According to CNN, prosecutors claim that Diddy pressured his former group mate from Dirty Money to end Dawn Richard’s lawsuit.
On Tuesday (Sept 17), Assistant US Attorney Emily Johnson suggested that Diddy contact Kalenna after Dawn filed her lawsuit against him last week.
Johnson said in court that Diddy reached out to Kalenna 58 times in four days. According to the New York Post, Diddy’s last text message to Harper came in on September 14, one day after she released her neutral statement.
As previously reported, Kalenna wrote in a lengthy statement that she had never witnessed any abuse detailed by Dawn.
Dirty Money was a musical trio, composed of R&B singers Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper, and Sean Combs.
The group signed with Combs’ Bad Boy Records, a then-imprint of Interscope Records to release five commercial singles leading up to the release of their debut collaborative album, Last Train to Paris (2010).
Expedited by the success of their single “Coming Home” (featuring Skylar Grey), the album peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200 and saw positive critical reception. It was preceded by one mixtape and followed by another until their 2012 disbandment.
Dawn nor Kalenna have yet to respond to these reports.
