Candiace Dillard Bassett Trends As Fans React To Her Absence Amid ‘RHOP’ Season 9 Premiere

Candiace Dillard Bassett may have stepped away from #RHOP, but fans are definitely feeling her absence. As season 9 premiered Sunday night (October 6), social media lit up with reactions, many pointing out how different the show feels without her.

One fan tweeted,

“I’m going to go ahead and say it: the show feels a little empty without Candiace #RHOP.”

Meanwhile, others had mixed feelings, with one viewer saying,

“The S9 premiere was so good and felt very new era – and I actually didn’t think about Robyn or Candiace once. #RHOP.”

Candiace Dillard Bassett announced her departure from the show back in April, saying in a statement:

“I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth, and moments of introspection that have defined this journey.”

She added,

“With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP… This is not a farewell, but a see you later.”

Candiace and her husband, Chris Bassett, have since announced that they’re expecting their first child together, a baby boy.

The premiere episode of the latest season covered Karen Huger’s DUI, introduced newbie Stacey Rusch, and followed Mia Thornton as she navigated her separation from Gordon.
