Nigel Lythgoe Accuses Paula Abdul Of Fabricating Details In Sexual Assault Lawsuit

“So You Think You Can Dance” producer Nigel Lythgoe is calling out Paula Abdul’s “shifting allegations” amid her sexual assault lawsuit against him.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that the Hollywood exec filed a motion in their case Tuesday (October 15th), arguing that Abdul’s credibility should be questioned in light of a recent amendment she made to the original complaint filed back in December.

As we previously reported, Abdul alleged that her former boss sexually harassed and assaulted her a number of times throughout their years of working together.

According to Lythgoe’s recent filing, Abdul wrote in a portion of the suit that she witnessed him assault her assistant while they were filming for “SYTYCD” in Las Vegas.

A revision to the document submitted last month, reportedly saw Abdul add that after the assistant rejected Lythgoe’s advances, he allegedly moved to force himself on her, touching Abdul’s “buttocks, hips, waist and her breasts,” also attempting to kiss her neck.

In response to the edit, Lythgoe’s lawyers claimed:

“It stretches credulity that Abdul would supposedly remember witnessing her assistant allegedly being assaulted … and yet apparently ‘forget’ until the filing of [amended complaint] that she also allegedly was assaulted at the same time.”

They reportedly furthered that Lythgoe is a “victim of Abdul’s appalling lies.”

It has not been reported that anyone from Abdul’s legal team nor a court judge has responded to the latest motion at this time.
