Jayda Cheaves Opens Up About Losing $50,000 After Backing Out From Home Purchases
Jayda Cheaves is sharing the reality behind her recent home-buying decisions—and the $50,000 loss that came with them.
In a recent social media post, Jayda Cheaves explained,
“I was under contract for two houses in Atlanta. One of them I was just like, f*** the earnest money… I don’t want this house no more. And then the other one, it appraised for lower, and I was like, I’m not about to crash out and spend all this money being stuck upside down on a house.”

She noted that things kept falling through “for a reason,” but she still incurred a loss of $50,000 by backing out so far along in the home-buying process.
Ultimately, Jayda Cheaves said she realized that a condo lifestyle fits her better for safety reasons:
“I’m a condo girl, I’m a penthouse girly. I know I’m losing out on space and a yard, a pool… but for me and my son’s safety living in Atlanta? No.”
Jayda also shared that she bought her mom a house, so they can still enjoy a yard whenever they visit.
