‘RHOC’ Alum Vicki Gunvalson Says She Will ‘Never’ Forgive Bravo For How Production Handled Her Mother’s Passing
Real Housewives Of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson feels Bravo was negligent with how they handled the death of her mother.
The 62-year-old criticized the network’s producers for not immediately informing her of her mother’s passing, alleging they knew for at least an hour but kept it quiet so they could prepare to film her reaction.
Vicki Gunvalson recalled the “traumatic” incident for an upcoming episode of Vice’s The Dark Side of Reality TV, stating:
“I was really upset that production knew for an hour, and they didn’t tell me.”
She continued:
“They were out of line, and I think they should have taken me aside and said, ‘Your mom has passed. Talk to your daughter off-camera.'”

Noting that those were the steps she would’ve taken if she were a producer in the situation, she added:
“Let me scream and cry on my own and be mad. It was very, very traumatic. I will never forgive Bravo for that.”
Viewers watched the heartbreaking moment unfold during season 10 episode five of the Bravo series, where Vicki Gunvalson collapsed to the floor and burst into tears after getting the news of her mom’s passing from her daughter Briana.
While the Coto Insurance CEO said she now reflects negatively on the moment, she did previously state that she wasn’t upset with Bravo for airing the scene during a 2015 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
