‘RHOA’ Star Kandi Burruss Set To Become Longest-Standing Housewife Across All Franchises

It seems like Kandi Burruss is about to make history with the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

According to reports, multi-talented Kandi Burruss, 46, is one season away from becoming the longest-standing housewife across all franchises. As you may already know, season 14 of “RHOA” has wrapped and the series is in the middle of airing its 3-part reunion special. Following part 1 of the special, some viewers speculated that this may be Kandi Burruss’ final season because she wasn’t sitting directly next to reunion host Andy Cohen, 54. Fans of the Bravo franchise believe that the leading housewives normally sit on the left and right of Andy Cohen.

However, according to Kandi, that’s not necessarily true. During a recent interview, she said,

“the seat next to Andy is not about who has the most seniority or who’s making the most coin or who’s the most important, it’s about who was in the most mess that particular season.”

Even though the cast for season 15 hasn’t officially been revealed yet, reports claim they have already started filming and Kandi has returned – giving her the title of the longest-standing housewife. Kandi continued and addressed naysayers who claimed she was “at the end of the road” due to the reunion seating chart. She also seemingly confirmed reports that she’s coming back for season 15 and said,

“First of all, I was at the end the season before. Did you not see me back last season, Season 14? And guess what? You will see [me] back for Season 15. We’re starting again soon. So get sick of me, you’re going to be sick of me,”

Kandi originally joined the Atlanta-based franchise in 2009 for Season 2 and has held a peach uninterrupted for 13 seasons. Since joining the series, fans have watched Kandi launch successful business ventures, get married, grow her family, and so much more!

In addition to her role on “RHOA,” the “Don’t Think I’m Not” singer has received multiple spin-offs such as; “The Kandi Factory,” “Kandi’s Wedding,” “Kandi’s Ski Trip,” and “Kandi & The Gang.”

Reportedly, other housewives who have come close to earning this title are Vicki Gunvalson from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and Ramona Singer from “The Real Housewives of New York City.” However, both ladies fell short of making it to the finish line. Reportedly, Vicki Gunvalson held her orange for 13 seasons but was ultimately demoted to a “friend” role in Season 14 before being axed for Season 15. Ramona Singer held an apple for 13 seasons. However, following Season 13, “RHONY” has been on hiatus and the future of the franchise is unknown as of now.
