RHOA’s Porsha Williams Sued by Ex Simon Guobadia for Defamation Over Erectile Dysfunction Social Media Post

Porsha Williams, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, was sued at the federal level for defamation and invasion of privacy by her former husband, Simon Guobadia according to In Touch.

Simon filed the lawsuit on Thursday, November 21, and it also charges Porsha with purposeful infliction of emotional distress, according to the media outlet.

“Porsha’s statements, presented as factual, have caused significant harm to [Simon’s] personal and professional reputation, subjected him to public ridicule, and inflicted severe emotional distress,” according to Simon’s attorney.

Simon stated in the lawsuit that he married 43-year-old Porsha in 2022 and that they parted ways in early 2024.

“When the Defendant abruptly began making negative, false, and misleading statements about him on social media, using her outsized platform to negatively influence public perception of him,” the lawsuit stated,

“Mr. Guobadia’s relationship with the Defendant became contentious.”

According to Simon, Porsha posted a number of remarks about erectile dysfunction on her Instagram on July 9. According to the lawsuit,

“these posts were purposefully written to imply that [Simon] suffers from this condition, casting him in a negative and humiliating light.”

“The hashtag #MensHealthAwareness was accompanying these [posts], which seemed to give the posts a tone of health awareness, but the timing and context made it clear they were directed at Simon,” according to his attorney.

In light of the couple’s public breakup, “the nature, timing, and context of these posts led reasonable viewers to infer that Defendant’s statements were referring to Plaintiff – because they were,” his attorney added.

“[Simon] does not have ED and has never suffered from or been diagnosed with this condition; [Porsha’s] statements were false,” the lawsuit stated. Simon charged Porsha with intentionally or carelessly ignoring the truth in the false claims. “Porsha’s actions were extreme, outrageous, and intended to provoke and inflict emotional distress upon [Simon],” according to his attorney. Simon said that because of Porsha’s remarks, he has experienced personal anguish and emotional grief.

“[Porsha’s] accusations not only targeted [Simon’s] physical and emotional integrity but also took aim at the heart of his reputation as a capable and respected entrepreneur and philanthropist,” according to his lawsuit. By stating these allegations in a public setting, [Porsha] made sure they were immediately and widely shared, which increased the damage to Plaintiff’s reputation and social standing. Since these remarks are straightforward and insulting, it is obvious that they are defamatory in and of themselves because they are harmful to [Simon’s] reputation both personally and professionally.
