Kamala Harris’ Request For A Pre-Election Interview On ‘Hot Ones’ Was Reportedly Turned Down
Members of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign are opening up about an interview rejection she received from the popular YouTube series Hot Ones.
Explaining why the known politician couldn’t get a seat on the series, Stephanie Cutter, who led the sitting VP’s media strategy department, shared on a recent episode of Pod Save America:
“‘Hot Ones,’ which is a great show, they didn’t wanna do any politics, so they weren’t going to take us or [Trump].”

Hot Ones, hosted by media personality Sean Evans, conducts interviews with different celebs and known public figures as they eat progressively spicier chicken wings throughout the discussion. In all of the series’ 350 episodes, an active politician has reportedly never been interviewed.
Continuing on the podcast, other members of the Harris campaign surmised that while Harris wasn’t able to “tap into some cultural elements,” like the audience she could’ve potentially reached with a Hot Ones appearance, it didn’t seem her opponent Trump faced the same problem.
