While an investigation into the tragedy is still ongoing, some reports state that Dominique made the event organizers aware of her food allergy, but was somehow still served items that caused a fatal allergic reaction.
Known for her infectious smile and love for Disney, Dominique built a community that celebrated joy, inclusivity, and magic. Her brother, Patrick Ramos, shared a heartfelt message thanking fans, writing:
“Disney brought her joy, but the community who loved her and Disney as much as she did meant everything to her. I will miss my sister, my best friend, and that smile.”
BoxLunch, who hosted the event, also expressed their condolences in a statement, writing:
“We are devastated by the passing of Dominique Brown, a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective, who suffered a medical emergency at an event hosted by BoxLunch on Thursday in Los Angeles. Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time”.
We continue to keep Dominique’s family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
