Kim Kardashian Helps Free Dawn Jackson, Who Served 25 Years For K*lling Her Step-Grandfather
Kim Kardashian reportedly played a key role in securing the release of Dawn Jackson, a New Jersey woman who served 25 years for fatally stabbing her step-grandfather, whom she claims sexually abused her.
Dawn’s case took a turn after she began sending Kim letters in 2018. She says her public defender advised her to plead guilty to first-degree murder in 1999, but her abuse testimony was never presented in court.

After Kim’s advocacy, Governor Phil Murphy commuted Jackson’s sentence, allowing her to be released five years early. She is now set to begin parole supervision, which will last until March 2029.
