Music Producer Sir Jinx Files Lawsuit Over Unpaid Royalties From Yo-Yo’s Debut Album
Sir Jinx is taking legal action over unpaid royalties for his work on Yo-Yo’s 1991 debut album “Make Way for the Motherlode.”
The producer has filed a lawsuit against Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, and Atlantic Recording Corp., claiming they owe him over $60,000 for beats he contributed to the album.

In the lawsuit, Sir Jinx accuses the music giants of breach of contract, failing to act in good faith and unjust enrichment. He is seeking financial damages, as well as an accounting of records to determine where the royalties went.
Hopefully, this time there will be a resolution, as Sir Jinx first raised the issue in September 2019 but received no response.
