2 Bodies Discovered In JetBlue Landing Gear At Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport
A tragic discovery was made on a JetBlue flight from New York to Fort Lauderdale.
Broward County deputies and a medical examiner responded to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport late Monday night (Jan. 8) after two bodies were found in the landing gear compartment of JetBlue Flight 1801.
In a statement, the airline confirmed the discovery occurred during a routine inspection after the plane landed around 11:30 p.m. JetBlue continued,
“The circumstances surrounding how they accessed the aircraft remain under investigation. This is a heartbreaking situation, and we are committed to working closely with authorities to support their efforts to understand how this occurred.”
