#TJBReacts: Internet Reacts To Drake’s Defamation Suit Against UMG Over Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’
Drake’s latest lawsuit has the internet in shambles.
As reported, late Tuesday evening (Jan. 14) news broke that the Canadian rapper withdrew his petition against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify, which accused the parties of orchestrating an illegal “scheme” to boost numbers for Kendrick Lamar’s viral song “Not Like Us.”
Many thought the gesture was Drake’s way of officially putting the entire ordeal to rest. However, Wednesday morning (Jan. 15) it was revealed that the “Worst Behavior” artist then filed an actual federal defamation suit against UMG, arguing that his label spread the “false and malicious narrative” that he’s a pedophile by releasing, distributing, and promoting Kendrick’s diss record.

The internet has since been heavily weighing in on the lawsuit and Drake’s claims. Pointing out allegations Drake made about Kendrick during their rap beef, one person said,
“Nah Drake said that man got molested and beat on his lady. But he’s SUING FOR DEFAMATION?”
Another shared an excerpt from the lawsuit and wrote,
“Drake is also alleging that “Not Like Us” is antisemitic… yeezus.”
