As A$AP Rocky’s ongoing ass*ult trial nears a verdict, his superstar girlfriend Rihanna showed up to support him during his latest hearing.

The pop diva is said to have arrived at his criminal trial in L.A. earlier today, Wednesday, Jan. 29, in a low-key, incognito style. Dressed in a black coat, Rihanna quietly sat in the front row between Rocky’s mom and sister, avoiding the media frenzy outside the courthouse and seemingly entering through a “non-public entrance,” according to media professional James Queally.

Though this was her first appearance at the trial, Rihanna’s stardom played a key role in jury selection. Potential jurors were reportedly questioned about their fandom to ensure impartiality.

A$AP Rocky is facing charges for allegedly shooting his former friend, A$AP Relli, during a 2021 altercation in Hollywood. He’s been hit with two felony assault charges and could face up to 24 years in prison if convicted. He previously rejected a plea deal that would have resulted in 180 days in jail and 3 years of probation.

Queally also noted that the end of today’s court session saw the judge indicate that the trial will wrap up soon, with closing arguments expected to be heard by the end of next week.
