Lil Wayne has something big on the way, and he’s keeping fans on edge after confirming he won’t be part of this year’s Super Bowl festivities.
In a recent Instagram video, Wayne told his followers, “Y’all know I’m not going to be there this week,” seemingly referring to the Super Bowl. He added,
“which means guess there’s a seat to fill. Shout out to New Orleans, but I’ve been working on something very special. I got something exciting coming for you. Thursday, the 6th.”

Wayne had previously expressed disappointment over not being selected to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, especially since the event is in his hometown of New Orleans. Kendrick Lamar will be taking center stage instead, a choice that sparked some debate online.
