2 Planes Clip Wings At D.C.’s Reagan National Airport, 1 Aircraft Reportedly Had Congress Members Aboard
Talk about a close call!
According to reports, earlier today (April 10), two planes clipped wings at Reagan National Airport in D.C. while one was taxiing and the other was parked. Both aircrafts involved were American Airlines flights. Reports also claim that there were members of Congress aboard one of the flights. Thankfully, no one was injured.
U.S. Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) spoke about the incident on X, writing,
“While waiting to take off on the runway at DCA just now, another plane struck our wing. Thankfully, everyone is safe. Just a reminder: Recent cuts to the FAA weaken our skies and public safety.”
