Gayle King Responds To Backlash Over Her Space Mission: ‘I Was One Of Those People In The Beginning Too’
Gayle King is responding to those who slammed her space exploration alongside other notable women.
While speaking with TMZ, she expressed shock that people she was affiliated with were dragging the journey.
“Some of them are people I know and like,” she said of those criticizing her. “I say you should go to Blue Origin and see what they’re doing. I was one of those people in the beginning too…because you’re doing something in space doesn’t mean you’re taking anything away from what’s happening in Earth.”
“I really resent that people are calling it a ‘ride,’” she added. “This was a Bonafide flight. This was a journey.”
Gayle King says she has had many women reach out to her stating that she motivated others to want to explore space.
