UPDATE: UnitedHealthcare Threat Suspect Identified As 26-Year-Old Ian Wagner, Reportedly Said He ‘Wouldn’t Be Taken Alive’

Update (April 15, 2025): Ian Stanley Wagner has been identified as the man arrested Monday outside UnitedHealthcare HQ in Minnesota.

Law enforcement says Wagner was booked for allegedly “making threats of violence.” The FBI and Minnetonka Police say he contacted the FBI Minneapolis Field Office and “issued threats of violence directed at the UnitedHealthcare facility if specific demands were not met.”

The FBI adds, “There is currently no indication that the individual had specific grievances against UnitedHealthcare.” Wagner allegedly claimed to have a g*n, demanded $1 million, and said he “wouldn’t be taken alive.”

This incident arrives just months after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was k*lled, allegedly by Luigi Mangione.

Original Story (April 14, 2025): There’s more trouble for UnitedHealthcare.

On Monday (Apr. 14), police in Minnetonka, Minnesota, arrested a suspect outside UnitedHealthcare’s corporate campus after reports of an intruder. “There is no threat to the public,” the department said, adding that the arrest was made “without incident.”

The incident comes just four months after Brian Thompson, the company’s CEO, was fatally sh*t in New York City. Surveillance footage showed Thompson being sh*t from behind with bullets marked “delay,” “deny,” and “depose,” a reference to insurance industry tactics. Authorities later arrested Luigi Mangione for the crime. However, the 26-year-old, who is currently behind bars, pleaded not guilty.
