California Man Allegedly Used Roblox To Lure 10-Year-Old Girl 4 Hours Away From Home

A 27-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly using the popular gaming platform Roblox to lure a 10-year-old girl from her home in Taft, California.

Authorities say Matthew Macatuno Naval communicated with the child through Roblox and Discord. The girl was reported missing by her family on April 13 and was later found safe in Elk Grove, a city more than four hours from where she lives.

According to reports, she was discovered in Naval’s car parked outside a local strip mall. He was taken into custody and is now facing charges of kidnapping and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The case is now under investigation, and officials have not released additional details about the nature of their online interactions or whether Naval has entered a plea.

The girl was initially placed in protective custody before being returned to her loved ones.
