$20K Reward Offered For Information On Missing Teen Ja’Niyah McMichael, Last Seen In August 2024
A $20,000 reward is being offered for information on 14-year-old Ja’Niyah McMichael, who went missing from her Gary, Indiana, home on August 12. The teen was last seen in black pajama pants, a black hoodie, and red-and-black shoes. Authorities suspect foul play. “Ja’Niyah, wherever you may be today, your nana loves you,” said her grandmother, Dalia Guerrero. “Happy birthday wherever you are.” The FBI believes she may be in Gary or East Chicago and has launched a renewed push for leads, including launching digital billboards. The reward includes $10,000 from the FBI and $10,000 from the City of Gary to help bring Ja’Niyah McMichael home and hold those responsible accountable. “The search for her remains active,” officials said during a Monday balloon release honoring the teen.
