Shonda Rhimes Offers Advice For Young Black Women: ‘Never Enter A Negotiation You Aren’t Prepared To Walk Away From’
Shonda Rhimes is dropping wisdom for the next generation of Black women.
Responding to a post on Threads that asked what advice people would give to Black girls, the television producer and screenwriter wrote,
“Never enter a negotiation you aren’t prepared to walk away from. No matter what’s on the table.”
She continued,
“If you don’t know your bottom line before you enter the room, you’ve already lost. Set your boundaries early, or trust that they will take you for everything you’re worth.”
