Michelle Obama Shuts Down Divorce Rumors Again, Says ‘Everybody Would Know’ If She & Barack Obama Were Having Problems
Michelle Obama is setting the record straight. Speaking on “The Diary of a CEO” podcast, the former first lady addressed recent speculation about her marriage to Barack Obama after skipping high-profile events like Donald Trump’s inauguration and President Jimmy Carter’s funeral.
“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” she laughed, adding, “He [Craig Robinson] would know it. And everybody would know it. I’m not a martyr. I would be problem solving in public. ‘Let me tell you what he did.’” Craig Robinson joked, “If they were having a problem, I would be doing a podcast with him.”
Michelle Obama, 61, emphasized that despite public reflections on tough moments in their marriage, “neither one of us was really ever gonna quit at it.”
Explaining her absence from Trump’s inauguration, she said, “I think at 61, I’m finally owning my wisdom.” She added, “It took everything in my power to not do the thing that was perceived as right, but do the thing that was right for me.”
Should people leave the Obama’s alone once and for all?
